Personal Comments:

Old stuff from MT: Hobbies include organic gardening and orcharding, fishing, canoeing, hiking, making fruit wines (okay, we drink it too), and playing/listening to blues music. Partner is an IT technician and a great harp player. We are on utility power but have a system that negates our power bill for 10+ months out of the year, and also runs our 1.5HP 240VAC irrigation pump in summer.
New stuff: Just moved to NM 10/25; trying to fix up and survive this place we bought sight unseen. It will be a cash sponge for many years -- hopefully we'll make it habitable before we croak!

Business Comments:

Oasis Montana Inc. is a net-based mail order business that sells renewable energy power equipment. We have customers all over the world but mostly in the western U.S. We generally work with someone's contractor, electrician, brother-in-law, whatever is needed, providing wiring diagrams and tech support. We have done installations in several western states. Perhaps 5% of our sales are international; it's very rewarding to provide power systems and water pumping for remote villages, clinics and schools. I've been working in the RE field since 1989, and started my own business ten years later. I wear many hats here: owner/manager/ sales tech/janitor.... Business is doing pretty well, and we have many happy customers throughout North America and the world. Amazon is really hurting businesses like mine... It may be time to retire. Our local installer is a master electrician.
